ExForms is an Excel add-in that turns your spreadsheet into the source for finished documents — PDFs, Word files, PowerPoint decks, and HTML pages. None of that starts until it is installed in Excel. There are three ways to install the ExForms add-in, and the right one depends on whether you are a single user, working in Excel for the web, or deploying across a company.

For most people the Microsoft Store is the fastest route. Open Excel, go to Add-ins, search for ExForms Data Transfer, and click Add. Excel on the web and a manual manifest install cover the cases the Store does not.

Best for anyone running desktop Excel on Windows or Mac.

In Excel, go to the Home tab and click Add-ins. Some versions label the button Get Add-ins.

Open the Store tab, type ExForms Data Transfer, and press Enter.

Click Add next to ExForms Data Transfer and accept the permission prompt if one appears.

Switch to the Data tab and click the ExForms Data Transfer button. The add-in opens down the right-hand side, and you are ready to build your first set.

If you work in Excel through a browser, the Store steps are the same, but you can also jump straight there with a direct link. Install ExForms for Excel on the web, or use the desktop install link to skip searching the Store.

For enterprise or network deployment, you can sideload ExForms from a manifest instead of the Store. In short: create a shared folder for add-ins, download the ExForms XML manifest into it, then register that folder as a trusted add-in catalog in Excel’s Trust Center. ExForms then appears under Insert → My Add-ins → Shared Folder. This is the path IT teams use to push the add-in to many machines at once.

ExForms is sold through two channels. You can subscribe through Microsoft (AppSource / Marketplace), which bills alongside your Microsoft account, or directly through FastSpring. Both unlock the same add-in, so pick whichever suits your procurement. There is also a Free plan if you want to try the core workflow first.

With the add-in installed, pick the document type you need:

• Fill PDF forms from Excel
• Fill Word documents from Excel
• Generate PowerPoint decks from Excel
• Build HTML documents from Excel
